Why I Started the Website

Being a BJD collector in Canada can feel incredibly isolating. For years, I watched the vibrant and active communities in the U.S. and across Asia—frequent meet-ups, endless shops, online spaces filled with conversation and creativity. Meanwhile, here in Canada, everything felt scattered. Meets were rare and often far away, and it was hard to even find other collectors nearby, let alone feel part of a real community.

When I traveled to Japan, it opened my eyes even more. The sense of belonging, the ease of finding others who understood the hobby—it was inspiring. But it also made me realize how lonely it can be to be a BJD collector back home.

That’s why I created this page: to build something for us. A central place for Canadian collectors to find each other, to connect, to share meet-ups, resources, and stories. Whether you're brand new to the hobby or a long-time collector, this is meant to be a space where you don’t have to feel like you're on your own.

Canada deserves a stronger BJD community. One that’s consistent, inclusive, and growing—and I hope this site can help make that happen. This is for the collectors who want more than just beautiful dolls; it’s for those who want connection, creativity, and a true sense of belonging right here at home.
